Job Title: Electronic Technician
Pay Rate: $18–$20/hour
Employment Type: Permanent
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Summary
The Electronic Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing electronic products and components to ensure they meet established quality and performance standards. This position supports manufacturing operations by verifying product functionality and assisting with continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing, inspection, and repair of electronic products, assemblies, and replacement components using established procedures and specifications.
- Verify that products meet all required electrical, mechanical, and quality standards prior to release.
- Document test results and identify any defects, inconsistencies, or non-conforming conditions.
- Communicate quality concerns and improvement opportunities to supervisors and cross-functional teams.
- Assist with troubleshooting electronic assemblies and determining root causes of failures.
- Support the training and development of new technicians on testing, inspection, and repair procedures.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand how equipment, tools, and electronic components function.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and technical instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to access, update, and maintain electronic records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic devices or assemblies.
- Understanding of quality control principles and inspection processes.
- Prior experience in electronics manufacturing, testing, assembly, or repair preferred.
- Technical school training, vocational education, or relevant coursework is a plus.
- Recent graduates with electronics training are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing testing and inspection tasks.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools, components, and testing equipment.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, or crouching.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Must possess close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus when working with electronic components and testing equipment.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and production environment.
- Moderate use of electronic testing equipment, tools, and computer systems.
- Work is performed in accordance with established safety and quality standards.
