Supervises: Route Service Representatives (RSRs) & Route Service Apprentices
About the Role
CITY Laundering is looking for a hands-on, people-focused Route Supervisor to support and guide our Route Service Representatives and Apprentices. This role is key to keeping daily routes running smoothly, safely, and efficiently—while delivering the high level of service our customers expect.
You’ll be a coach, problem-solver, and leader in the field, helping your team start strong each day, grow their skills, and finish routes successfully.
What You’ll Do
Daily Operations & Leadership

Open the building in the morning and secure it at the end of the day

Ensure all routes launch successfully by confirming drivers have the tools, information, and support they need

Set clear expectations for what a successful day looks like

Check in with route reps at the end of each day to review performance and address needs
Coaching & Development

Ride along with route reps regularly to provide hands-on training, coaching, and support

Lead safety discussions and continuous improvement training

Monitor driving performance through Samsara and work with drivers to improve safety scores

Address alerts and concerns promptly and constructively
Customer & Team Support

Step in to run a route when needed and support route coverage

Serve as a visible representative of CITY Laundering to customers and potential customers

Reinforce excellent customer service standards with your team

Maintain positive, professional communication with customers and teammates
Administrative & Operational Tasks

Communicate urgent issues to the Service Manager in real time
-
Complete invoices and required paperwork daily
-
Load and unload clean and soiled laundry on straight trucks
-
Ensure all routes meet service and quality expectations

Perform other duties as needed
What We’re Looking For

Prior experience supervising or leading teams is preferred

Clean driving record and reliable attendance required

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

Strong communication and leadership skills

Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting others

Able to multitask, prioritize, and take initiative

Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable

Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new software and systems

Proficient in Microsoft Office
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This role is active and hands-on. Physical requirements include:

Frequent walking, standing, reaching, grasping, and lifting
-
Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, pushing, and pulling
-
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally (most lifting under 50 lbs)

Use of tools and equipment for loading, unloading, and maintenance tasks
-
Driving industrial and commercial vehicles as needed
