    Job Details
  • Assist Cardiologists in performing invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac/vascular and electrophysiologic procedures.
  • Provide technical hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation using automated techniques.
  • Operate electrical/imaging equipment and computers.
  • Interpret hemodynamic and procedural results/outcomes.
  • Operate monophasic and biphasic defibrillators.
  • Communicate and educate patients during procedures to alleviate anxiety.
  • Recognize and assist anesthesia needs for sedated or anesthetized patients.
  • Collaborate with Research RN/Coordinator for laboratory-based research.
  • Train and mentor team members.
  • Manage digital archiving system for patient images and reports.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and assist in sterile procedures.
  • Prepare instruments for sterilization and sterile field setup.
  • Accurately interpret EKG and alert physician of irregular activity.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum three (3) years of applicable experience in cardiac/vascular invasive procedures.
  • Knowledge of hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  • Competency in moderate sedation administration and policy protocol.
  • Knowledge of electrophysiologic (EP) concepts, theory, and fluoroscopic anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to recognize and assist in treatment of complications from cardiac/vascular/EP procedures.
  • Proficient in sterile table setup and patient preparation/draping.
  • Extensive knowledge of cardiac/vascular procedural supplies and equipment.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging equipment operation.
  • Advanced EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition skills.
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browsing.
  • Multicultural sensitivity.
  • Required Education: Associates Degree in Related Field or Certificate of completion for Radiology Program.
  • Required Certifications & Licensure: IEMA (Illinois state) License in Rad Technology, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), ARRT Registration in Radiology.
    Schedule Information
  • Day shift
  • 10 hour shifts
  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift hours: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Knowledge of procedure setup and proficiency.
  • Ability to write, read, comprehend, and speak fluent English.
