Job Title: Quality Control Laboratory Chemist

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Chemist to join our team in supporting the manufacturing of both human and veterinary drug products. This position plays a key role in performing a variety of chemical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, finished goods, and stability samples in a GMP-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical testing on raw materials, in-process products, finished products, and stability samples.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, etc.
  • Prepare reagents and samples in accordance with SOPs.
  • Accurately document and report test results in compliance with GMP standards.
  • Support method development, validation, and transfer activities.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot testing or equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments.
  • Mentor and support junior chemists, as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a GMP-regulated QC or manufacturing lab.
  • Strong chromatography background, especially with HPLC, GC, or similar instruments.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools: UV/VIS, FTIR, AA, IC, ICP-MS, and dissolution testing.
  • Familiarity with lab software such as Empower and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of cGMP, quality systems, and related compliance practices (e.g., change control, deviations, CAPAs).
  • High attention to detail with excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Must-Have Requirements

  • 3–5 years of direct, hands-on chemistry experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory.
  • Proven chromatography experience (e.g., HPLC, UV/VIS, FTIR).
  • Academic/lab research experience alone will not be considered.
  • Degree not required — practical skills and industry experience are most important.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more daily.
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for 8+ hours per day.
