Location Foster City
Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000
My client is a long-standing, well-respected and successful facilities services organization. They have been family-owned for almost 100 years, across 4 generations. They provide services facilities services throughout the SF Bay Area to industrial and commercial clients.
They are looking for a Human Resources Director who can balance business needs with HR needs and be strategic while rolling up your sleeves as needed on more tactical issues. This is a very employee and business centric role. HR is seen as a service center for all employees.
As the HR Director you will:
- Report to the CFO to collaborate on strategy to support company goals and objectives
- Collaborate with all managers, including the CEO, to support company goals and objectives
- Manage a small HR team focused on providing exceptional employee services
- Develop, recommend, administer and revise/update HR policies plans and procedures
- Participate in the development of overall organization and HR department goals, objectives and systems
- Be both a point of contact and escalated point of contact for employee issues
- Benefits and compensation management, including policies, benchmarking and overall administration
- Develop, recommend and administer programs around compensation equity, incentives, employee rewards andr ecognition
- Act as an advisor to employees and managers on day-to-day issues, as well as policy interpretation, investigations and conflict resolution
- Manage staffing processes from onboarding to offboarding
- Identify training needs/requirements and design opportunities for career growth/pathways
- Oversee performance management – develop a system for effectively measuring performance, productivity and behavioral standards
- Ensure compliance

- Experience supervising and mentoring HR staff
- Strong understanding of business operations and HR’s impact and influence on a business meeting its goals.
