A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Long Term Care Pharmacist in South Salt Lake, UT. The Long Term Care Pharmacist would be working for a major healthcare company and has career growth potential. This is a full-time / 40+ hours per week position.

Long Term Care Pharmacist Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour

  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Long Term Care Pharmacist Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs

  • Required availability is Monday to Friday with rotating weekends, 8-hour shifts starting between 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM

  • Location: 100% onsite in South Salt Lake, UT 84115

Long Term Care Pharmacist Responsibilities

  • Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications

  • Monitor medication compliance and usage patterns

  • Ensure all medications are dispensed in accordance with legal and safety guidelines

  • Provide patient consultations regarding proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions

  • Support patient wellness with services such as smoking cessation, BP and cholesterol monitoring

  • Educate patients on using medical devices (e.g., glucose meters, BP monitors)

  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following appropriate procedures

  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks

  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care

Long Term Care Pharmacist Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required

  • Must be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Utah

  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience, preferably in long-term care

  • Mandatory attendance required for the first 90 days
