The Customs Entry Writer / Customs Import Specialist is responsible for preparing and processing import customs entries, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, and coordinating the timely clearance of international shipments. This position works closely with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams to facilitate smooth import operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in customs brokerage and international logistics. No prior customs brokerage experience is required—training will be provided to motivated candidates.
Work Schedule Requirements:
- 100% On-Site Position (Remote work is not available)
- Overtime may be required based on business volume and operational needs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
- No experience required. Willing to train the right candidate.
- Previous experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, logistics, or international trade is a plus, but not required.
- Interest in learning U.S. Customs regulations, import documentation, and international trade compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing documentation.
- Effective problem-solving skills under time-sensitive conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
