JOB SUMMARY:
The primary role of the Director of Operations is to provide direction and oversight to the areas of Adult Services, Therapy Services, Child Care, and Aquatics. The Director of Operations will be responsible for the operational success of CP, Inc. ensuring seamless team management and development, service delivery, and quality control and evaluation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Work with leaders of Operations (Adult Services, Therapy Services, Child Care, and Aquatics) to provide the framework for the organization to deliver a high level of service to both clients and the community, as well as provide oversight to the operations team in developing, implementing and evaluating program strategies aligned with the organization’s mission.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of all direct service programs, ensuring quality, compliance with contractual, licensing and accreditation requirements, and effectiveness.
- Participate in the strategic plan and translation of organizational goals into executable plans and operational tasks at the necessary levels by assisting with the prioritization of activities, assignment of responsibilities, monitoring of progress and impact evaluation.
- Develop and manage program budgets in collaboration with Finance and Program leaders. Fiscal responsibility for department budgets and financial performance.
- Assess community needs in all areas of Operations and develop strategies to grow both within the current market, as well as expand to new markets and new services.
- Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service and effectiveness, and profitability.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for program innovation, expansion, and partnerships.
- Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to strengthen staff capacity.
- Build and maintain relationships with partner agencies, government entities, coalitions and community stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at community meetings, collaborative networks, and public events.
- Promote cross-agency collaboration to enhance client access to all services.
- Oversee data collection, reporting, and evaluation systems for all programs.
- Analyze program outcomes and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Development to identify and pursue grant opportunities.
- Serve as a member of the CP Executive Team in providing comprehensive oversight of the organization and assisting with the development of organization’s policies, practices, and attainment of operating goals.
- All other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
- Adhere to the agency’s safety policies and procedures.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human services administration, public administration, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in human service program management or leadership preferred.
- Demonstrated success overseeing direct service programs and supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of human services systems, community resources and client-centered practices.
- The candidate must have a willingness to foster a culture that provides an open, inviting and safe environment for all clientele and their families as well as staff.
- Strong leadership and staff development skills.
- Must be able to think and operate strategically yet be ready to dive into the details when necessary.
- Ability to lead projects and proven continuous improvement skills.
- Other specific attributes are organizational skills, communication, analytical/problem-solving abilities and interpersonal relationship building skills.
- Successful completion of background check and drug screen.
