Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher is needed to support students across various grade levels, including K-5, 6-8, and 9-12, in a dynamic school setting located in San Jose, CA. This contract position runs from January 2026 through June 2026 and offers an engaging opportunity to work with self-contained, resource, and special day classroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students individual education plans (IEPs)
- Manage caseloads with a variety of student needs across K-12 grade levels
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and support personnel to enhance student learning and development
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere
Qualifications:
- Active State Teaching License in Special Education is required
- Experience with diverse special education settings such as self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, or special day classes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Schedule and Compensation:
- Contract period: January 2026 to June 2026
- 30 to 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week
- Pay rate starting at $36+ per hour
