A skilled Registered Nurse experienced in Post-Anesthesia Care (RN-PACU) is sought for a contract opportunity in the Post-Surgical Unit. This role involves delivering exceptional nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in a 22-bed setting. The patient-to-nurse ratio typically ranges between 1:4 and 1:5, ensuring focused and attentive care for each individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients post-surgical recovery, assessing vital signs and managing pain effectively.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions, collaborating with the surgical and anesthesia teams.
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare protocols.
- Provide patient and family education regarding postoperative care and recovery processes.
