Job Description

Clinical/Forensic Psychologist

We are a unique boutique –type practice located in The Woodlands, an exciting master planned cosmopolitan community 30 miles north of Houston. We use an integrated treatment model which treats the whole client and their significant others. We are looking for innovative , energetic Psychologists with excellent testing and clinical skills to join our multidisciplinary treatment teams which includes Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrists, Psychologists with specializations in children and trauma, Neuropsychologists, Forensic Psychologist , Licensed Professional Counselors and Coaches.


We are an out-of-network provider unrestricted by health insurance limitations which lets our clinicians focus on treating their clients and allows us to pay above –average rates to above-average Psychologists.

We offer comprehensive assessments that include neuropsychological, learning disability, ADHD, autism spectrum and trauma evaluations. Our intensive out-patient and trauma treatment programs offer more intensive treatment to those clients who do not want or qualify for hospitalization. We also offer specialized treatment programs for ADHD and autism spectrum disorders in addition to treatment for a wide range of disorders including mood and anxiety disorders. Our forensic psychology practice focuses on forensic evaluations that include in-depth psychological assessments and custody evaluations for individuals involved with legal proceedings.


As an out-of-network provider we do not receive referrals from insurance companies and clinicians must be motivated to promote their clinical skills through our marketing activities which include meeting with medical providers, school personnel and attorneys and in-person/online presentations, webinars and blogs. Our marketing director will assist and support you in these endeavors


Position Duties

  • Complete comprehensive diagnostic interviews, cognitive and psychological assessments with appropriate rating scales and provide written and oral feedback to clients regarding diagnostic impressions and recommendations.
  • Provide individual, family and group therapy using evidence-based approaches
  • Work closely with parents, schools, and colleges to implement accommodations to academically and psychologically support children and college students with mental health disorders when applicable
  • Provide crisis intervention services to clients who are a danger to themselves or others
  • Work in collaboration with the other team members to contribute to the goal of providing integrated and focused quality treatment
  • Opportunities to work with our Forensic Evaluation Team to assist in forensic evaluations of individuals for legal proceedings. Psychologists not trained or experienced in forensic evaluations will work under the supervision of a forensic psychologist
  • Contribute to client care by participating in clinical staff meetings to review client progress and update treatment plans
  • Ensure documentation is entered into electronic health record and deadlines for completion are consistently met
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory standards
  • Participate in marketing activities to inform the community and our referral sources about your clinical skills and expertise

Qualifications/Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or Psy. D. in an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program and must have completed an APA approved clinical psychology internship.
  • Be licensed to practice Psychology in Texas by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
  • Training and experience in conducting clinical diagnostic interviews, in-depth psychological and cognitive assessments and documenting the findings in quality assessment reports.
  • Training and experience conducting custody and in-depth psychological evaluations of individuals for legal proceedings is a plus. Psychologists with an interest in supervision and training to conduct forensic evaluations work will also be considered.
  • Training and experience in providing trauma-focused CBT, dialectical therapy, exposure therapy and reunification family therapy OR an interest in receiving professional training in these treatment approaches.
  • Ability to conduct neuropsychological and autism spectrum evaluations is a plus.
  • Have proven ability to establish , manage and maintain a steady caseload of clients.
  • Adhere to professional practice standards, ethical principles and legal standards in clinical practice
  • Stay current with new developments in clinical psychology through continuing education, training, professional societies and journals


Hours/Salary

Flexible working hours- the clinic is open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 8 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm which allows clinicians to choose their own schedule with 25-30 hours available preferred.


Hourly pay rate ranges from $125-$150 per client revenue hour and are based on qualifications, experience and number of clients seen.


Clinicians who prefer to be a contractor rather than an employee will also be considered.
