Job Title: Handyman / Finish Technician
Job Description
This full-time Handyman / Finish Technician role focuses on delivering high-quality finish work and final touch-ups on luxury manufactured homes in Malibu and Pacific Palisades. You will ensure each home is move-in ready by performing detailed repairs, adjustments, and finishing tasks with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, precision, and a clean, professional work style.
Responsibilities
- Complete final finish work, touch-ups, and repairs during home installation or turnover to ensure homes are fully ready for occupancy.
- Patch, prep, and paint walls, ceilings, and trim to achieve a clean, seamless, and consistent appearance.
- Perform minor tile repairs and replacements, including grout touch-ups and tile alignment corrections, as needed.
- Execute finish plumbing tasks such as installing fixtures, making adjustments, and ensuring proper operation and appearance of faucets, valves, and related components.
- Carry out finish carpentry work including installing and adjusting trim, baseboards, doors, cabinetry, and hardware to a high standard of fit and finish.
- Perform light framing fixes and general repair work to correct minor structural or cosmetic issues in the home.
- Troubleshoot small issues throughout the home, diagnose the root cause, and resolve them efficiently with minimal disruption.
- Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively for carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repair tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and protect high-end surfaces, finishes, and furnishings throughout all phases of work.
- Travel independently between job sites in Malibu and Pacific Palisades and manage daily tasks with minimal supervision.
- Communicate professionally and clearly with supervisors and homeowners when needed, providing updates on progress and any issues identified.
Essential Skills
- Strong handyman skill set with proven experience in patching, prepping, and painting walls and trim.
- Hands-on experience with finish carpentry, including trim, baseboards, cabinetry adjustments, and hardware installation.
- Experience with finish plumbing tasks such as installing and adjusting fixtures and basic plumbing components.
- Ability to perform basic tile work, including minor tile repairs and replacements.
- Experience with drywall repair and touch-ups, including patching, sanding, and blending finishes.
- Ability to perform light framing fixes and general construction repairs.
- Basic electrical familiarity for minor home-related tasks, within safe and appropriate limits.
- Proficiency using hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to work independently across multiple job sites and manage time efficiently.
- Reliable transportation to travel between Malibu and Pacific Palisades job locations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-end finish quality in luxury residential environments.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with supervisors and homeowners.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in construction, carpentry, or residential maintenance.
- Experience working in high-end or luxury residential settings.
- Familiarity with general troubleshooting for common household issues.
- Comfort working on a variety of tasks in the same day, including drywall, painting, framing, plumbing, electrical, and general repair.
- Ability to adapt to different home layouts, finishes, and design standards.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and a focus on quality craftsmanship.

Work Environment
This is a full-time field-based role with weekly pay, working primarily on luxury manufactured homes located in Malibu and Pacific Palisades, with headquarters support based in Agoura Hills. You will travel between job sites, often working inside finished or nearly finished homes, where cleanliness, care, and respect for high-end surfaces and finishes are essential. The work involves regular use of hand tools and basic power tools for construction, drywall, painting, framing, plumbing, electrical, and general repair tasks. You can expect a hands-on environment that requires physical activity, attention to detail, and adherence to safety practices, while maintaining a neat appearance appropriate for high-end residential settings.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
