At Northpointe Bank, we believe your career should empower you — to grow, contribute, and find purpose. We’re hiring a Loan Officer Assistant to support Loan Officers in originating, processing, and closing residential mortgage loans, while ensuring an excellent borrower experience.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused, with a passion for helping clients navigate the mortgage process smoothly.
The pay for this role is hourly + incentive.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist Loan Officers in managing a pipeline of mortgage loan applications from origination through closing.
- Collect, review, and verify borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, collateral) for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare complete loan packages for underwriting and submit to operations.
- Review and communicate underwriting conditions to borrowers, then submit cleared conditions for approval.
- Schedule and coordinate closings, confirming details with borrowers, title companies, and all parties.
- Order and review third-party documentation (title commitments, appraisals, insurance).
- Maintain accurate notes, file updates, and provide administrative and marketing support to Loan Officers.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and lending regulations.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of mortgage lending, loan processing, or financial services experience preferred.
- Knowledge of loan products, documentation requirements, and compliance a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
