Job Description
Our client, a leading and highly respected healthcare system in Texas, is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Waco. This full-time, onsite role supports patient care in an inpatient rehab and acute care setting, helping individuals regain independence and improve daily functioning. This role offers competitive compensation of up to $2,200 per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with physical, cognitive, or emotional limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Modify therapy programs and goals based on patient progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and adaptive techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and enter charges appropriately.
- Supervise support staff, students, and volunteers as needed.
- Support a patient-centered environment focused on quality care and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in inpatient rehab or acute care required.
Required Skills:
- Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- BLS certification (AHA required).
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation and acute care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Team-oriented with a proactive and patient-focused approach.
