The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for supervising the Pharmacy Department in the absence of the Regent Pharmacist, leading the technical team and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires professional judgment, leadership, and a genuine commitment to patient health and safety.
Responsibilities:
✔ Supervise technical staff during their work shift
✔ Dispense medications safely and in accordance with regulations
✔ Educate patients on the proper use of their medications
✔ Participate in adherence and vaccination programs
✔ Manage inventory, including controlled substances
✔ Interact with physicians to validate or clarify prescriptions
✔ Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment in the pharmacy
✔ Promote an excellent patient service experience
Requirements:
???? Pharmacy degree
????Valid pharmacy license in Puerto Rico
???? Pharmacy association membership
????Pharmacy registration
???? Previous experience in community or institutional pharmacy (preferred)
???? Leadership, communication, and customer service skills
???? Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends, or holidays (as needed)
