This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing financial processes, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. You will play an integral role in maintaining accurate financial records and collaborating with various team members in a small-office environment.
Responsibilities:
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
• Perform reconciliation of accounts and bank statements to maintain precise financial records.
• Prepare and present financial reports to assist in decision-making and compliance.
• Manage collections and oversee payables to ensure smooth financial operations.
• File sales tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with the purchasing director to support financial activities.
• Utilize Profit 21 software to manage bookkeeping tasks effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of debits and credits in alignment with accounting principles.
• Provide assistance to customers who visit the office, ensuring professionalism in interactions.
• Adapt to the dynamic environment of the plumbing industry while maintaining a high level of service.• Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Profit 21 software or similar systems such as Eclipse.
• Understanding of debits and credits and their application in accounting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small office environment.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and addressing their needs.
• Knowledge of sales tax filings and compliance requirements.
• Thick skin and adaptability to the language and dynamics of the plumbing industry.
