Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Minnetonka, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting HR operations, ensuring smooth employee lifecycle processes, and contributing to the overall success of the organization. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in HR practices and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee various employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, performance reviews, and offboarding.
• Provide assistance in payroll processing and benefits administration, including managing health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations to maintain legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate on the creation and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance organizational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, generating reports as required to support decision-making.
• Work closely with leadership to promote employee engagement and drive organizational culture initiatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate training and development programs to support employee growth and skill enhancement.
• Conduct background checks and assist in employee relations matters, offering guidance and support where needed.
• Utilize HRIS systems to streamline HR processes and improve data management.
• Support bi-monthly payroll activities to ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees.• Proven experience in Human Resources administration, including employee lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and familiarity with payroll platforms such as ADP.
• Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and employee relations practices.
• Ability to conduct background checks and provide counseling to employees effectively.
• Experience managing payroll and benefits administration, including bi-monthly payroll cycles.
• Solid understanding of labor laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with leadership and employees effectively.
