Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to support purchasing and procurement activities for a company based in Emeryville. This role will assist Buyers with daily operational tasks, including purchase order processing, vendor coordination, and data management, to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Buyers with purchase order creation, updates, and tracking
- Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Support inventory tracking and replenishment needs
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and basic analysis using Excel or ERP systems
- Communicate with internal teams to support procurement and operational needs
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support preferred
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data management
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong communication and attention to detail
