We are seeking dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to provide school-based services throughout Washington, DC.

Position Overview

As part of a multidisciplinary educational team, you will help students access their learning environments, improve independence, and achieve meaningful educational goals.

Services may include:

  • Fine motor skill development
  • Sensory processing support
  • Self-regulation strategies
  • Visual-motor integration
  • Handwriting interventions
  • Adaptive skill development
  • Functional participation in classroom activities
  • Consultation with educators and families

Key ResponsibilitiesOccupational Therapists (OT)

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments
  • Develop treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services
  • Participate in IEP meetings and educational planning
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
  • Provide consultation and recommendations regarding student accommodations and supports

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA)

  • Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Deliver direct therapy services
  • Document student progress and therapy activities
  • Support data collection and goal monitoring
  • Collaborate with educational teams and families
  • Assist with implementation of accommodations and interventions

QualificationsOccupational Therapist (OT)

Required:

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
  • Active Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for licensure
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Preferred:

  • NBCOT Certification
  • School-based experience
  • Pediatric therapy experience

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Required:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Active COTA license or certification as required by state regulations
  • Ability to work under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

Preferred:

  • School-based experience
  • Pediatric therapy experience
