Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona Occupational Therapy License at the time of submission
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience post-clinicals
- Ability to independently evaluate, treat, and document patient progress
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospital or inpatient experience preferred
- Experience from student clinicals or other acute rehab/inpatient settings may be considered
- Willingness to commit to at least 26 weeks if requiring extended support or orientation
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Evaluation & Planning:
Evaluate patients, establish functional goals, and develop individualized treatment plans. - Treatment Delivery:
Administer Occupational Therapy interventions tailored to each patient’s age and condition, with ongoing adjustments. - Documentation:
Maintain timely and regulatory-compliant documentation of evaluations, treatments, and outcomes. - Communication:
Collaborate with medical teams and educate patients and families regarding therapy goals and progress. - Supervision & Delegation:
Supervise OT assistants, aides, and students in compliance with regulatory guidelines. - Flexibility:
Adjust to schedule changes and support multiple care areas when needed. - Operational Contribution:
Contribute to department improvement goals, productivity standards, and quality initiatives. - Collaboration:
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to promote coordinated care.
