A growing staffing and workforce solutions organization is seeking an energetic and results-driven Skilled Trades Recruiter to join its team. This is a full-desk recruiting role responsible for both business development and talent acquisition within the skilled trades sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the skilled trades and industrial sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Present staffing and workforce solutions to potential clients.
  • Negotiate service agreements and recruitment partnerships.
  • Develop long-term client relationships that drive repeat business and referrals.

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

  • Source, screen, interview, and evaluate qualified candidates.
  • Match candidates with appropriate client opportunities.
  • Utilize multiple sourcing strategies, including job boards, networking, referrals, social media, and direct outreach.
  • Conduct candidate interviews and skills assessments.
  • Prepare and submit qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Maintain consistent communication throughout the hiring process.

Recruitment Process Management

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job intake through placement.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand hiring needs, workplace culture, and position requirements.
  • Draft and post job advertisements.
  • Coordinate interviews and facilitate hiring decisions.
  • Present and negotiate employment offers.
  • Initiate and manage pre-employment processes.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records and applicant tracking systems.

Relationship Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and candidates.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with placed candidates and client contacts.
  • Support employee relations and workforce retention initiatives.
  • Build long-term talent pipelines for future hiring needs.

Community Outreach & Market Development

  • Participate in job fairs, trade school events, networking opportunities, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Conduct mock interviews and career coaching activities.
  • Stay informed on labor market trends and skilled trades workforce challenges.
  • Provide clients with market intelligence and hiring insights.
