Job Description

Masci General Contractor, Inc. is looking for a Logistics Manager to oversee and direct the daily operation of all transportation functions, including, but not limited to safety and profitable backhaul management that ensures cost effective sourcing and revenue generation. As a Logistics Manager you'll be responsible for:

Operating Fleetwatcher and Motive to analyzing all transportation function and programs to ensure accuracy, efficiency, Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance, and profitability

Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions for all transportation functions and programs

Strategically analyzing routing and scheduling to ensure optimum efficiency for on-time performance

Proactively be involved with identifying, planning, and maintaining staffing levels

Supporting the achievement of company business plans, strategies, and objections by coordinating the use of shared resources

Administer DOT safety policies and practices, analyzing cause/effect, and implementing solutions

Monitoring leased vehicles to ensure efficiency and profitability

Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and general transportation regulations

Supervisory experience in a transportation environment preferred

Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems preferred

Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) Hours of Service

Ability to understand and manage budgets

Proficient in computer usage to include email, word processing, presentation software, spreadsheets, data compilation, data analyses

Ability to rovide clear, constructive feedback and coaching

Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to include nights and weekends
