Job Title: LVN / LPN – Medical Surgical (GI Overflow Unit)
Job Location: Rochester, NY 14626
Unit: GI Overflow – Med/Surg Tele
Duration: 13 weeks

Position Details:

• Shift: Day Shift – 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW)

Compensation: Gross Weekly: $1,321

Position Summary:

The LVN/LPN will provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical GI Overflow Telemetry unit. This role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, assisting with treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a GI overflow and telemetry setting.

• Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams in patient care planning.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.

• Support patient education and discharge planning.

• Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience.

• Active LVN/LPN license (pending licenses not accepted).

• BLS certification required.

• EPIC electronic medical record experience required.

• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.

• First-time travelers accepted.
