GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Primary Therapists are the heart and soul of our treatment model. He/She is responsible for delivery of direct patient services, such as individual and group therapy. He/she is responsible working with our clients to create a customized and specific course of care to guide the client through the journey of recovery. He/she monitors documentation in order to ensure that documentation is maintained at the highest level and that clients are served to the standards of Fairland Recovery Center.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist clients in obtaining SNAP benefits as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Navigate the complexities of the Georgia DFACS system on behalf of clients.
- Provide expert guidance through SNAP application processes and requirements.
- Advocate for expedited processing of client applications when appropriate.
- Coordinate with DFACS personnel to resolve application issues and barriers.
- Maintain detailed documentation of client progress and benefit status.
- Collaborate with Client Advocate team members to ensure comprehensive case management.
- Provide education to clients regarding SNAP eligibility requirements and ongoing obligations.
- Address and resolve SNAP-related issues that may arise during client treatment.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma
- Must have extensive experience with the SNAP benefits program in Georgia, preferably a previous DFACS caseworker in Georgia.
- In-depth knowledge of SNAP program requirements, regulations, and procedures.
- Experience navigating Georgia DFACS systems and processes.
- Understanding of eligibility determination processes and documentation requirements.
- Strong advocacy and communication skills.
- Ability to work with vulnerable populations, including individuals with substance. use disorders and mental health conditions.
- If in recovery, must have at least two (2) years clean time.
