Job Description
Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: St. Louis, MO
Position Type: Full-time, Hourly (30–40 hours/week)
Compensation: $22–28/hour (DOE)
Benefits: PTO, mileage reimbursement
Who Are We?
Luminary Cleaning Solutions is a locally owned hospitality field-services company specializing in vacation rental and boutique hotel properties. We provide high-quality cleaning, maintenance coordination, and operational support for short-term rental operators.
We are committed to maintaining beautiful, well-functioning properties that deliver exceptional guest experiences. As we expand our client base, we are looking to add a highly capable Operations Manager to our team.
Overview:
As an Operations Manager at Luminary, you will take custodianship of the day-to-day operational condition of the properties we service.
The expectation of this role is simple but high:
At check-in time, any day of the week, the property should be clean, functional, organized, and ready for guests. Storage spaces should be orderly and properly stocked. Small problems should not be allowed to compound into larger ones.
You will be responsible for keeping operations running smoothly — through inspections, organization, guest communication, and coordination with cleaners and maintenance vendors when necessary.
This role combines hospitality operations, guest service, and field coordination. While the role is primarily operational and supervisory in nature, candidates should also be comfortable performing occasional hands-on tasks when needed.
Why Work for Us?
• Semi-monthly compensation
• $22–26/hour starting pay (based on experience)
• Paid time off
• Paid training
• Dynamic, hands-on work environment
• Opportunity to grow with an expanding hospitality services company
• High level of autonomy and trust
Who Are You?
• Experience in hospitality, property management, operations, or facilities coordination strongly preferred
• Experience in hotels, short-term rentals, property management, or customer-facing roles is a major plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Comfortable interacting with guests both in person and over the phone
• Regular availability from Thursday–Monday, 10–6, with flexibility as needed
• Able to pass a background check
• Have a reliable vehicle (SUV, van, or pickup preferred), driver’s license, and car insurance
• Able to lift 60 lbs and perform occasional physical tasks
Beyond qualifications, you:
• Take pride in keeping spaces in excellent condition
• Notice small issues before they become large problems
• Are highly organized and detail-oriented
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
• Work independently without constant oversight
• Are resourceful and able to research and solve unfamiliar problems
• Are comfortable supervising a small team of cleaners and coordinating vendors
• Understand that your work directly impacts guest experience and client trust
Job Requirements
• Managing guest communications including responding to questions, resolving issues, and coordinating solutions
• Supervising and coordinating housekeepers to ensure cleaning standards are maintained
• Conducting thorough unit inspections before guest arrivals
• Ensuring properties are clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready at check-in
• Troubleshooting guest issues and resolving or coordinating resolution promptly
• Maintaining unit inventories and restocking replacement items
• Coordinating laundry logistics and supply movement between properties
• Managing supply ordering and maintaining storage organization
• Coordinating with maintenance vendors and contractors when repairs are needed
• Handling light operational tasks such as replacing batteries, resetting breakers, or addressing minor issues when necessary
• Unboxing, organizing, and inventorying received supplies
• Assisting with unit setup when new properties are added
• Handling or coordinating after-hours guest issues when necessary
• Other miscellaneous operational tasks as required
Additional Information:
This role requires a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. The right candidate views the properties as their responsibility — ensuring they are consistently clean, functional, and guest-ready without needing to be reminded.
This is a field-based role involving inspections, guest support, and operational coordination across multiple properties.
If you are looking for a stable role where you can take pride in maintaining high standards and delivering excellent guest experiences, we encourage you to apply.
To apply, please reply to this post with your resume and cover letter and if we think you'd be a great fit for the position, we'll be in touch.
