Magnolia Plumbing, LLC is seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function across the full employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for overseeing HR operations, employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, performance management, HR systems, and organizational development while partnering with leadership to support business objectives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and experience managing HR operations in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the HR leader and oversee the Human Resources function across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure HR strategy, compliance, and workforce initiatives align with business goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and leadership regarding HR guidance, employee relations, and policy interpretation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and proactively identify and address compliance risks.
  • Lead employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, corrective action guidance, conflict resolution, and termination risk assessments.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies, documentation standards, and performance management practices.
  • Oversee daily HR operations and ensure HR processes are executed accurately and efficiently.
  • Supervise and provide coaching, guidance, and accountability to HR staff while driving continuous process improvements.
  • Maintain oversight of HRIS data integrity, employee records, reporting, and HR audits.
  • Oversee recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding in partnership with department leaders.
  • Evaluate exit interviews and recommend strategies to improve employee retention and engagement.
  • Oversee personnel transactions including hires, promotions, transfers, performance management, terminations, and government reporting.
  • Serve as an internal HR consultant to managers and leadership on employee relations and organizational matters.
  • Maintain, analyze, and report HR metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and identify trends.
  • Prepare reports and recommend strategies to reduce absenteeism and employee turnover.
  • Prepare and monitor the annual Human Resources operating budget.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and exceptional internal customer service.
  • Represent the organization during personnel-related hearings, investigations, and employment matters.
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations, HR compliance, and HR operations leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices; multi-state experience preferred.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms, including Paylocity; experience with ServiceTitan and/or Intacct is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting, audits, PivotTables, and lookup functions, along with strong Microsoft Office and Google Workspace skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading employee relations investigations and providing guidance on corrective actions and performance management.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and advise leaders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience using HR data to drive business decisions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
