The PMHNP will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management in a supportive, team-based environment. This role offers flexibility, direct psychiatrist collaboration, and sustainable work-life balance, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.
Schedule & Work-Life Balance

60 minute for new patients / 30-minute follow-up appointments for established patients

Hybrid model (in-person + telehealth); provider driven schedule flexibility.

Part-time with potential transition to full-time

Admin Support: Allows you to focus on providing great care.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct psychiatric services, including comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and develop personalized treatment plans

Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with NC regulations and best practices

Educate patients about treatment options, psychopharmacology.

Support recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care

Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and substance use disorder treatment providers

Coordinate care with other medical professionals as appropriate
-
Communicate with patients and families when clinically indicated

Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time; interpret labs

Assist with administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
-
Active, unrestricted license to practice in the state of North Carolina

Board certification as a PMHNP
-
Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start)

Minimum 1+ year of relevant clinical experience required

Eligible for insurance credentialing
-
Must pass a background check
Licensure & Compliance Requirements

Practice in accordance with NC Board of Nursing / NC Medical Board rules
Preferred Attributes
-
Interest or training in functional psychiatry, integrative approaches, or root-cause–informed care (within scope)
-
Experience or interest in TMS or Spravato is a plus.
