- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Tech / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS)\n
- Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program\n
- ARDMS credential required; registered in Abdomen and OB/GYN by ARDMS\n
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification\n
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English\n
- All certifications and registrations must be active and current\n
\n\nResponsibilities\n

- Set up ultrasound equipment and prepare patients for examinations as a hospital sonographer\n
- Select appropriate transducers and obtain high-quality images per physician order (abdomen, OB/GYN studies)\n
- Review patient history and clinical data to assist in diagnostic imaging and reporting\n
- Position patients and use immobilization devices for optimal imaging and patient safety\n
- Explain procedures, answer patient questions, and provide compassionate patient-centered care\n
- Maintain accurate radiology records, label images properly, and ensure documentation meets hospital standards\n
- Assist physicians with special ultrasound procedures and interventional guidance, including needle biopsies when indicated\n
- Participate in departmental education, continuing sonography education, and adhere to hospital policies\n
- Follow infection control, safety procedures, and quality assurance protocols for diagnostic imaging\n
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct in all interactions\n
- Perform other related duties as assigned\n
