A K-8 school in Aurora, CO, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position running from December 1, 2025, to May 29, 2026. This role is ideal for an SLP with a CCC credential and school-based experience, providing direct therapy services to students while supporting their individualized education plans.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct speech and language therapy to a caseload of 35-40 students ranging from mild/moderate to moderate/severe needs
- Conducting speech and language assessments, evaluations, and referrals
- Participating in IEP and 504 meetings to collaborate with educators and parents
- Consulting with teachers and staff to support student communication goals
Qualifications:
- Current SLP license with CCC credential required
- Experience working in K-12 or school-based settings preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload with varying levels of communication challenges
- Strong understanding of school-based protocols and special education regulations
- Must not be a Clinical Fellow (CF) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA); only fully credentialed SLPs considered
This position offers a full-time workload of approximately 37.5 to 40 hours per week within a supportive and collaborative school environment. The role requires submission of a current CDE license for prescreening, followed by a client interview process.
