Key Responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands-on treatment to residents and patients.
- Assist individuals in regaining strength, mobility, and independence after illness, surgery, or injury.
- Implement personalized treatment plans and lead therapeutic exercises.
- Support gait and balance training, as well as functional mobility activities, including transfers and daily living tasks.
- Prioritize safety, dignity, and comfort for all patients.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, maintaining regular communication with physical therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document all treatments and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques, ensuring clarity and compassion in communication.
- Follow infection control protocols and safe patient-handling practices, demonstrating sound clinical judgment and professional ethics.
