Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands-on treatment to residents and patients.
  • Assist individuals in regaining strength, mobility, and independence after illness, surgery, or injury.
  • Implement personalized treatment plans and lead therapeutic exercises.
  • Support gait and balance training, as well as functional mobility activities, including transfers and daily living tasks.
  • Prioritize safety, dignity, and comfort for all patients.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, maintaining regular communication with physical therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Document all treatments and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques, ensuring clarity and compassion in communication.
  • Follow infection control protocols and safe patient-handling practices, demonstrating sound clinical judgment and professional ethics.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
