Job DescriptionSalary:

As a Location Advisory Services Operations Manager, you will assist with driving growth within the practice, working directly with our LAS team in a supervisory capacity to help them secure incentives programs for our clients.


Reports To: LAS Practice Leader/Shareholder
Experience: 4-7 years; economic development experience is preferred
Priority: Operational management of people and projects


Key Responsibilities:

  • Shows interest in a specialized area of knowledge and displays an understanding of multiple state and local credit and incentive programs in order to guide and coach Consultants on the team actively serving clients.
  • Take lead with identifying and applying state-specific incentives programs to complex client situations when Consultants require support and direction.
  • Maintain a highly visible role in moving client projects forward and demonstrate ability to drive mid to large-sized engagements to completion.
  • Display problem-solving skills on more complex client situations and technical issues.
  • Ensure Consultants deliver work products that meet or exceed client expectations with few to no errors consistently (reports, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.); review their work for accuracy and formatting consistency.
  • Present in front of an executive team when delivering final presentations as needed.
  • Contribute to marketing materials as needed as a subject matter expert, partnering with the marketing team.
  • Partner with the Director of the Alliance Network (sales team) and Chief Marketing Officer to enhance our go to market strategies for business development purposes.
  • Engage with referral sources and economic development entities in a consistently professional manner, cultivating key relationships at a high level.
  • Oversee reporting and compliance for clients across municipalities and states across the U.S.
  • Work with legal and tax professionals in a supervisory capacity to provide integrated services to clients.
  • Demonstrate ability to represent clients in front of public and economic development entities with a high degree of professionalism, holding Consultants accountable to doing the same, leading by example.
  • Display leadership qualities by consistently identifying process improvements and increasing the overall team efficiency.
  • Leverage data and reporting on KPIs to ensure accountability and performance management throughout the team; facilitate constructive feedback conversations as needed to help drive performance improvements.


What you will need:

  • A Bachelors degree with a focus in accounting, finance, business, economics, construction management, engineering, or related fields
  • 4+ years of credits and incentives or economic development experience is needed
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, strong and written and verbal communication skills
  • Consultative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, excels in client situations
  • Leadership skills and people management experience is needed with a strong operational lens
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • A valid United States drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel independently or as part of a team to client locations throughout the USA
