We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.


Position Overview: As a CNC Machinist at Translarity, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by operating CNC machines, including a vertical 3-axis mill and a surface grinder, to produce precision components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC G-Code, experience running and setting up CNC vertical 3-axis mill and a surface grinder, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering top-notch quality products. Your primary responsibility will be helping build programs, secondary helping review CNCs and grinders.


Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and optimize CNC programs for machining operations.
  2. Operate CNC machines, including a vertical 3-axis mill and a surface grinder, ensuring proper tool selection, cutting speeds and feeds, process
  3. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  4. Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
  5. Set up and operate the surface grinder to achieve precise finishes on components.
  6. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  7. Conduct quality control checks on finished products to meet specified tolerances of parts.


Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a CNC Programmer and Machinist (5 years min. req.).
  2. CAD/CAM software (Mastercam 2020 min. req.) a plus.
  3. Experience running a CNC vertical 3-axis mill (5 years min. req., Haas and Okuma preferred) and a surface grinder on finished parts (not tooling modifications, 2 years min. req.).
  4. Strong understanding of CNC machine operations and G-code programming.
  5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  6. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  7. Laser and Microdrill experience is a plus.


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in any type of CNC programming and machining (preferred).


Schedule: 8- or 10-hour shifts- (10-hours- 2pm-12:00am M-Th) or

(8-hours 4pm-12am M-Fri)- Shift premium is provided for these hours after 5pm
