About the Role:
The Junior Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, which is essential for effective decision-making. The Junior Accountant will work closely with senior accounting staff to support month-end closing processes and assist in audits. By managing accounts payable and receivable, this role contributes to cash flow management and overall financial stability. Ultimately, the Junior Accountant will help uphold the integrity of our financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship experience in accounting or finance.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Netsuite.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Collaborate with senior accountants to assist in the month-end closing process and prepare for audits.
