NOW HIRING!!! A-Line is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to support a fast-paced Long Term Care pharmacy environment. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who is passionate about patient safety, accuracy, and delivering exceptional service within a dynamic healthcare setting.
In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring medications are processed, verified, and dispensed accurately for long-term care facilities. You will work closely with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to support safe and efficient medication distribution while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week; overtime may be available)
Overview

Schedule
- Shift Length: 8.5-hour shifts (includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break)
- Operating Hours:

- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
- Saturday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 6:30 PM
- Assignment Schedule: Varies weekly based on business needs within the hours listed above
- On-Call Rotation: Participation required

- Holiday Coverage: Required on a rotating basis
- Pharmacy operates 365 days per year
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate entry and verification of prescription orders
- Verify technician-entered orders for accuracy and completeness
- Review new and refill prescriptions for correct labeling and packaging
- Conduct drug utilization review, including screening for drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions, and allergies
- Maintain pharmacy security and compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure prescriptions are processed and dispensed in accordance with required delivery schedules
- Assist with controlled substance management, including perpetual inventory for Schedule II medications
- Prepare and/or supervise preparation of sterile IV medications when required
- Ensure compliance with DEA regulations, state pharmacy laws, and HIPAA
- Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage based on operational needs
- Support a culture of quality, service, and continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong clinical knowledge, including interpretation of:

- Allergy contraindications
- Ability to accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) required
