Cook Supervisor / Prep Cook

We are seeking to hire a Cook Supervisor / Prep Cook.
- $21 to $23 per hour based on skills and experience.
- Full-Time schedules available: 5:30am to 2pm and 5am to 1:30pm and 11am to 7:30pm as needed. Every Other Weekend required.
Qualifications of Cook Supervisor / Prep Cook:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Commercial cooking experience required.
- ServSafe Certification (certification cost paid for eligible candidate).
- Criminal background check required.
- Must be able to rotate shifts, work weekends, holidays and accept call to meet the Home’s scheduling needs.
Cook Supervisor / Prep Cook Job Summary:
- Assist in all aspects of food preparation such as making salads, fruit plates, etc.
- Cook assigned meals and always available items.
- Manage the staff of dietary aides.
- Responsible for checking any and all daily audits, temperature logs for all kitchen equipment, and cleaning assignments/lists as assigned
- Dietary Aide duties as needed.
- Work effectively within a team, receiving and offering direction and feedback as needed.
- Support the Dietitian with resident menus and tray cards.
- Ensures that infection control practices are always maintained and followed.
- Work other jobs within the Dietary Department as necessary.
