CNC Machinist (Lathe Operator) (Direct-Hire)

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Lathe Operator) who can independently set up and run CNC lathes while maintaining a high standard of safety and precision. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathes to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals.
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience as a CNC lathe operator.
- Ability to run CNC lathes independently with minimal supervision or training.
- Strong understanding of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and CNC programming.
- Experience with CAM software (SURFCAM and GibbsCAM preferred).
- Familiarity with Haas controls is a plus.
Schedule:
- Flexible full-time schedule — 8-hour shifts can be worked anytime between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
