Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a dedicated Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education to support students across the Nashville area suburbs. This full-time, onsite contract role involves serving K-12 students within varying school assignments across the district. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored instructional support and specialized services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, addressing their individual educational needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans based on assessment and ongoing evaluations.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support services.
  • Manage caseloads effectively across multiple grade levels (K-12), adapting services as needed.
  • Comply with all licensing and district requirements, including background checks and fingerprinting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Tennessee Department of Education certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
  • Experience working with K-12 students within the DHH discipline preferred.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite Monday through Friday.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school teams.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based in the Nashville metropolitan area suburbs.
  • Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Contract duration through May 20, 2026, starting as soon as possible.
