This individual will be responsible for preparing one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, conduit and cable sizing, lighting calculations, and bills of material while supporting both design execution and client-facing activities. The role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment while offering opportunities to mentor staff and expand business with existing and new clients.Role & Responsibility:Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success
- Lead design and analysis of low, medium, and high-voltage industrial/commercial power systems.
- Develop and review one-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and conduit/cable layouts.
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of material, and electrical equipment specifications.
- Mentor and support electrical design staff, leading discipline meetings and sharing technical expertise.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and provide on-site construction and commissioning support.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, NEMA, ANSI, and IEEE codes and standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
Skills & ExperienceQualifications That Will Help You Thrive
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred (or ability to obtain).
- 10+ years of experience in industrial/commercial electrical design.
- Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, and other electrical analysis software.
- Strong knowledge of switchgear, MCCs, motors, relaying, and protection systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical ability.
- Proven track record in mentoring and training staff, as well as client-facing leadership.
- Ability to travel locally and nationally (~10%).
