Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online | Import/Automotive Preferred)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper with strong experience in QuickBooks Online to manage day-to-day financial operations. This role supports a business involved in automotive importing and titling services, requiring accuracy, process discipline, and adaptability.
The ideal candidate has a solid accounting foundation, understands inventory and import-related transactions, and is open to cross-training across multiple operational functions within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Ensure proper entries of transactions and adherence to internal controls
Import / Automotive Transaction Support (Preferred)
- Process entries for border crossings
- Support documentation tracking (e.g., bills of lading, 7501 forms)
- Coordinate with transport companies
Operational & Cross-Functional Support
- Provide administrative support across departments
- Assist with process improvement and workflow optimization
- Crosstrain in related functions such as DOT Compliance, titling, vehicle recalls
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Docs
Preferred
- Experience in automotive, import/export, logistics, or inventory-based businesses
- Familiarity with customs documentation and import processes
- Experience with multi-entity or multi-account financial structures
- Understanding of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS)
