Our Billings, Montana office is currently seeking a full-time Recruiter. This is an on-site position in Billings, MT.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Recruiter plays a key role in supporting the organization’s talent acquisition efforts, with a focus on high-volume recruitment, sourcing strategies, and candidate experience. This role also contributes to onboarding activities to ensure new hires transition smoothly into the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for a high volume of open positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and facilitating job offers.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, understand hiring needs, and implement effective recruiting strategies.
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, career fairs, community networks, and employee referrals.
- Ensure a high-quality candidate experience through consistent communication, scheduling coordination, and professionalism throughout the hiring process.
- Maintain accurate candidate data and recruitment metrics in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Extend offers of employment and guide candidates through the pre-employment process, including background checks and paperwork.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding activities to ensure a seamless transition, including offer letters, I-9 completion, and system setup.
- Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to deliver engaging onboarding experiences, including orientation scheduling, policy education, and benefits enrollment support.
- Serve as a point of contact for new employees during the onboarding period to address questions and ensure a positive first impression.
- Support talent acquisition and onboarding process improvements through feedback collection, trend analysis, and documentation updates.
- Stay current on recruiting best practices, labor market trends, and compliance requirements to support consistent and lawful hiring practices.
- Support various HR initiatives and projects as needed to enhance the overall employee experience.
KEY SKILLS:
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and new hires.
- Maintains the highest level of discretion when handling sensitive information, using sound judgment to assess complex issues and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Works effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams to support recruiting initiatives, improve processes, and achieve department goals.
- Ensures accuracy in documentation, data entry, and recruiting processes, with strong follow-through and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Remains flexible and proactive in a dynamic environment, balancing multiple responsibilities.
- Produces well-organized, concise written materials for internal or external communication, onboarding resources, and employee correspondence.
- Embraces ongoing development, staying current with recruiting laws, tools, and best practices to enhance service delivery and support organizational growth.
- Takes ownership of responsibilities, responds constructively to feedback, and makes informed decisions by evaluating available data and aligning with company objectives.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- 3+ years of experience in a high-volume recruiting role, including exposure to onboarding processes.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, ATS and onboarding tools.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be willing to travel as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as typing and clicking.
- Must be able to lift and move light items up to 20 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and sit.
