Job Summary:
The Payments Processing Specialist is a key role within ClaimAngels operations, ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient processing of payments in our fast-paced legal funding marketplace. This position requires advanced Excel skills, a strong ability to read and interpret contracts, precision in verifying lien amounts, proficiency in cashing checks, and effective management of multiple email inboxes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable, thriving in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excel Competency:
- Utilize extensive Excel worksheets (formulas, data analysis, lookups) to manage payment data and generate comprehensive reports.
- Contract Analysis:
- Read and interpret contracts and legal documents to ensure accurate payment processing.
- Lien Verification:
- Accurately verify lien amounts to maintain data integrity across claims and funding processes.
- Payment Operations:
- Process and cash checks efficiently, ensuring timely deposits and reconciliation of transactions.
- Email & Communication Management:
- Manage multiple email inboxes, ensuring prompt and professional communication with internal teams and external partners.
- Record Keeping & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate transaction records and support adherence to company policies and industry standards.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to address payment discrepancies and support operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Previous experience in payments processing, claims handling, or related fields preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of work experience
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze contracts.
- Attention to Detail:
- Exceptional accuracy and precision in financial data verification and transaction processing.
- Organizational Abilities:
- Demonstrated skill in managing multiple tasks and email communications efficiently.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-Motivation:
- Proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid Schedule:
- In-person attendance is required four days a week, with the option for remote work on one day.
