Responsibilities

Provide post-anesthetic care to patients in the PACU.

Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress post-surgery.

Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.

Assess and manage patients' pain levels effectively.

Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.

Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

Utilize performance metrics to enhance patient care outcomes.

Adapt to changing patient needs and dynamic work environments.

Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the PACU.

Engage in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
Experience/Qualifications

Possess a valid RN license in New Mexico.

Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU or similar post-anesthetic care settings.

Demonstrate proficiency in monitoring and interpreting vital signs.

Strong ability to assess and manage patient pain levels.

Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.
