Job Title: General Labor - 3rd Shift
Job Description
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as General Laborers on the 3rd shift. This role involves working with plastic materials and requires physical stamina and attention to detail. You will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that our machines are operating efficiently and that our products meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Load machines with plastic sheets to produce plastic bags of various sizes.
- Lift and handle heavy rolls of plastic weighing around 50 pounds, which is approximately 20% of daily tasks.
- Unload finished rolls of plastic into bins on wheels and prepare them for packaging on skids or boxes.
- Cut boxes to the required specifications for packaging rolls of plastic.
- Ensure that plastic machines are running correctly and efficiently.
- Measure and cut boxes and excess plastic accurately according to specifications.
- Act as a floater, assisting in various tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in machine operation within any production setting.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
Work Environment
The work environment is clean, dry, and not excessively loud, ensuring a comfortable workspace. You will need to hustle to keep up with production and work well within a small team. Safety is a priority, with safety glasses provided and required. The dress code includes boots, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. The shift runs from 11 pm to 7 am, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caledonia, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
