Deliver skilled nursing care in a dynamic medical-surgical unit serving diverse adult patients. This contract assignment offers an opportunity to enhance clinical expertise in inpatient care within a highly respected hospital setting known for advanced trauma and cardiac services. Night shift hours provide a focused environment with 36 or 48 guaranteed weekly hours, supporting work-life balance.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible or current in Missouri
  • Minimum one year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA preferred
  • Ability to float to other units as staffing needs arise
  • Strong team-oriented mindset with dedication to patient-centered care

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing standards in accordance with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility policies.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EPIC) and specialized medical equipment to support patient treatment.
  • Adhere to infection control practices, including compliance with flu vaccination policies during specified periods.

Additional Details:

  • 13-week contract assignment with weekend rotation every other weekend and no call responsibilities
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
  • Patient-to-nurse ratios vary; emphasis on safe, quality care
  • Dress code requires black scrubs and closed-toe shoes
  • Exposure to physical demands including lifting assistance and extended periods of standing
