What You’ll Do
Deliver Exceptional, Relationship-Based Care

Use the nursing process within a Relationship-Based Care framework to create a compassionate, healing environment.

Partner with patients and families to develop daily goals and individualized plans of care that address clinical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

Apply critical thinking to assess patient conditions and confidently communicate recommendations to the interdisciplinary team.

Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation that supports continuity of care, patient safety, and quality outcomes.

Apply adult (and pediatric, when applicable) learning principles to educate patients and families throughout the care journey—from admission through discharge.

Experience & Education

0–2 years of nursing experience required.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

ICU or pre/post experience preferred

Physical Requirements

Mobility, visual acuity, and manual dexterity required.

Physical stamina to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient positioning.
Licensure, Certifications & Clearances
-
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the facility is located or a valid multistate license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
-
Graduate Nurses must successfully complete the RN licensure examination within six (6) months of hire or within one year of graduation—whichever comes first.
-
Temporary Practice Permits (TPP) accepted per policy.
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required in accordance with AHA standards within 30 days of hire.

UPMC-approved national certification preferred.
-
Nurses working under an out-of-state NLC license who establish residency in the facility’s state must apply for in-state licensure within 60 days.

ACLS requied
Performs duties in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
