Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Warehouse Lead for our York, PA client.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Shifts: 10:00am - 6:30pm, Monday - Thursday, Sunday 8:00am - 4:30pm, off Friday and Saturday.
Job Description
- Lead daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, and inventory control
- Operate a sit-down LP forklift as needed to support daily operations
- Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities as needed to meet operational demands
- Identify and escalate operational issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly
- Provide direct, hands-on leadership to warehouse associates on the floor
- Assign daily tasks and ensure expectations are clearly communicated
- Monitor performance and productivity throughout the shift
- Coach employees in real time and reinforce company standards
- Report performance concerns, attendance issues, and behavioral concerns to management
- Ensure all employees follow safety procedures, company policies, and SOPs
- Reinforce proper use of equipment, tools, and warehouse systems
- Support audits, quality checks, and compliance requirements
- Promote a safe work environment and enforce safety rules consistently
- Ensure quality standards are met and reduce errors, damage, or rework
- Document incidents, performance concerns, and shift activity as required
Requirements:
- LP sit-down forklift experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a team lead, warehouse lead, or similar leadership role
- Experience in high-volume or production driven warehouse environments
- Experience with unloading mail is a plus
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
- Flexibility for overtime
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead by example and work alongside the team
