Roles & Responsibilities
Supports Plant Supervisor with all the following tasks:
- Create and support a culture of zero tolerance for safety infractions!
- Continuous check on quality of units and ultimate responsibility for high-quality shipping units
- Identify and manage shortfalls vs. milestone dates in advance to achieve committed ship dates.
- Responsible for daily plant cleanliness and organization (everything has a home)
- Develop organization to achieve next-level leaders, identify potential leaders, and challenge them to achieve goals towards the development of increasing responsibility.
- Provide training, communication, and guidance with Supervisors to meet deadlines.
- Manages the team, schedules, and deadlines.
- Provides a material list for each project.
- Provides cost-outs for each project.
- Ensures that work is accomplished safely and efficiently.
- Resolves personnel issues, conflicts, or timely counselling when needed.
- Approves or denies vacation, sick and unpaid leave for Supervisors.
- Writes and presents annual performance reviews.
- Plan a work schedule with the Director of Manufacturing to stay late or work on weekends to meet deadlines.
- Leads by example.
Requirements:
Competency Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of the process of work for the Supervisor’s direct area of responsibility
- Flexible and responsive with solid teamwork orientation
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of use of basic hand tools
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement

- Ability to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail.
Qualification/Experience Requirements
- Previous Supervisor experience or proven leadership qualities.
- Basic mathematical skills and knowledge in use of measurement tools
- Skill in the use and care of equipment and tools
Required Education/Training
- High School or Equivalent
