Position Summary:

As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders. You'll collaborate closely with supervising SLPs, teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support individualized treatment plans and help students achieve meaningful educational outcomes.

This position offers the opportunity to work with students across a variety of grade levels and educational settings.


What You'll Do

  • Implement speech and language treatment plans developed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy in individual and group settings under the direction of a licensed SLP.
  • Collect and document student performance data and report progress to the supervising SLP.
  • Assist with preparing therapy materials and activities that promote student engagement and communication.
  • Support the implementation of communication goals identified within Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, parents, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.
  • Reinforce communication strategies across educational environments as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Maintain compliance with all ethical, professional, licensing, and supervision requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
  • Current state Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school-based setting.
  • Experience working with students with diverse communication needs.
  • Familiarity with IEP implementation and educational documentation.
