Executive Clinical Leadership in Community Behavioral Health
We are seeking an experienced and respected Clinical Director to provide executive-level clinical leadership within one of the largest and most comprehensive behavioral health organizations north of the Twin Cities. This role is ideal for a seasoned licensed clinician who brings depth of experience, sound judgment, and a commitment to high-quality, ethical, and sustainable care.
The Clinical Director plays a critical role in shaping clinical practice, supporting clinical leaders, and partnering with executive leadership to guide the organization’s clinical vision and long-term growth. This position offers the opportunity to lead with purpose while strengthening systems that support both clients and clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
The Clinical Director provides strategic oversight rather than routine direct service and works collaboratively across the organization to ensure clinical excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide executive oversight of clinical programs, outcomes, and standards of care
- Lead, support, and mentor clinical supervisors and senior clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with licensing, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
- Partner with executive leadership on program planning, evaluation, and development
- Use data, clinical expertise, and best practices to guide decision-making
- Represent the organization clinically with community partners and stakeholders
This role requires the ability to think systemically, communicate clearly, and lead with confidence and integrity.
Required Qualifications:
· Licensed Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LMFT, PhD, PsyD, or equivalent)
· Approved by licensing board to provide clinical supervision
· Demonstrated clinical leadership and supervisory experience
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience collaborating with community partners, funders, and/or public systems
· Background in program development, quality improvement, and/or organizational leadership
