Location: Tampa, FL
Summary:We are currently looking for a Refrigeration Service Technician for our client in the Tampa area. In this role, you’ll handle on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of equipment. This is a DIRECT HIRE role that is available immediately.Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair commercial ice machines and refrigeration systems on-site
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleanings, and routine inspections
- Identify issues with compressors, leaks, electrical components, water flow, and refrigerant levels
- Complete installs, replacements, and component swaps as needed
- Communicate findings and repair plans clearly to customers
- Maintain accurate service notes, parts usage, and repair documentation
- Ensure all work meets safety and manufacturer standards
- Manage daily service routes and respond to urgent service calls when required
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience working with commercial ice makers or refrigeration systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and confident troubleshooting ability
- Understanding of basic electrical and refrigeration principles (diagnosing, charging, leak detection, etc.)
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers
- Able to work independently in the field and manage your time efficiently
- Willing to handle emergency or same-day service calls when needed
